Year 2 Class Closure – Monday 31^st January

Dear Parent/ Carer,

I’m sorry to inform you that due to COVID circumstances we do not have a teacher for Year 2 tomorrow. We are already stretched with cover across the school and given the situation across Newport, we are unable to gain a supply teacher.

I have worked with our Chair of Governors and the Local Authority and made the difficult decision to close Year 2 tomorrow – Monday 31^st January. We will let you know by lunch time if the class will remain closed on Tuesday 1^st February as we will be trying to source a supply teacher during the morning.

During the time of class closure we will provide remote learning via SeeSaw. If you require a paper pack for this day do let us know. They will be available from the office by 11am tomorrow.

I fully appreciate the short notice of this situation and if you are unable to find child care, we will have a hub running. Please text the school to say if you will be using this child care hub so that we are aware of which children should be with us for safeguarding purposes.
