Newsletter 25.10.19
Dear Parents and Carers,
Don’t forget: Next week is Half term: Monday 28th October to Friday 1st November
Friends of St. Gabriel’s
Discos for both phases have been held over the last fortnight. A big thank you to our children for their lovely manners and behaviour demonstrated throughout – they were a real credit to you. Many thanks also go to the Friends of Gabriel’s for the organisation that went into the events plus all those that volunteered – parents, staff and friends – to provide support at the actual events.
Diolch yn fawr everyone.
School – Parish Links
Four Members of our Mini Vinnie group went to a cluster Mass at St Mary’s church this week to celebrate the work of all the youth groups across our cluster of Catholic schools. After the Mass each school presented on the charitable actions they have undertaken. Mrs Wright was so proud of the confidence shown by our Mini Vinnies. We are looking forward to more events like this to further involve all our Mini Vinnies in the parish whilst also growing and strengthening the links between our Mini Vinnie groups across the city.
Section 50 RE Inspection
Don’t forget to send back your RE questionnaire for the inspection team arriving straight after half term. Please pop into the office or let your child’s class teacher know if you need another copy.
The Parent Meeting with the Inspection team is planned to take place on Monday 4th November at 3:15pm. If you would like to attend this meeting but are unable to arrange child care, we will provide a crèche facility in school.
Christmas Cards and Other Themed Gifts
A Christmas Card with the deign created by your child will be coming home today. Please take the time over half term to look through the information as there are cards, gifts and other Christmas themed items that can be ordered – possibly some presents for the wider family at Christmas time!
We thank you for taking the time to look at this as a percentage of the profits comes back to the Friends of St Gabriel’s which goes towards providing resources for the children in our school.
