Dear Parent/Guardian,
Friends of St. Gabriel’s: School Lottery Update – running since 1st July 2017
So far it has raised £1186 for the school
That’s with only 23 people that have bought lottery tickets!
Imagine what could be raised if we could double the number of people that take part!
It costs just £1 per week
All the money raised goes towards purchasing equipment and experiences for the pupils.
It’s a fantastic way, not just for parents, but for friends and family to support our school.
The more people who buy tickets – the bigger the prizes and the more money we raise for school.

Headlice
To help us all work together to restrict the spread of headlice, please can you ensure that your child’s hair is tied back as per our school uniform policy.
Family Learning Workshops
Reading Strategies – Foundation Phase
Our Family Learning workshops continued this week with a focus on reading strategies – both decoding and understanding the meaning of the text.
We continue with Foundation Phase next week, focusing upon mental maths strategies, before the final week for KS2.
Dosbath 2 Assembly
Well done to Class 2 for leading Assembly on Thursday morning. I was sorry to have missed it, but all the staff have told me how proud of you they were.

FREE Breakfast Club
As you know we operate a free breakfast club from 8:10 – 8:40am each morning. Given the amount of interest shown in signing up we were able to set up a breakfast club with 85 places.
However, a number of pupils have not taken up their places and we have a situation where if we don’t have the numbers a cap will be set at 55 pupils. This will mean a waiting list will become necessary.
To avoid this, if you want your breakfast club place, make sure that it is used.
