ESTYN is inspecting us from Monday 4^th March to Thursday 7^th March 2019 and they want parents’ and carers’ views.

Please meet the inspectors at school on Monday 4^th March 3:45pm to give your views. There will be a crèche run by school staff to help with child care during the meeting.

Eisteddfod

Today was our school Eisteddfod which was a lovely celebration of our collective culture and our place in Wales.

Once again we have been overwhelmed by the creativity involved in the home learning projects and all the other categories that have undertaken in class.

Winners were announced in the Eisteddfod celebration this morning but first and foremost, congratulations to everyone for taking part – we are very proud of you all.

Caffi Cymraeg Event

It was lovely to have so many family members joining us for this event on Monday. Thank you all.

We were very proud of our Criw Cymreig for helping everyone developing their welsh language skills.

Coffee and Catch Up – Parent Forum

Thank you very much to the parents that were able to attend this Thursday morning’s meeting.

It was a really productive session that enabled us to discuss possible strategies for improving the system for pupils that are ‘just’ late. We were also able to review the home school agreement for parents, pupils, school and governors to make sure that it is meaningful and relevant. Our final discussion was around the use of the school website and formatting feedback for the prospect of going paperless in the near future.

Attendance

A fabulous week for attendance St Gabriel’s – da iawn! 4 classes over the target with 2 just under.

We are so pleased with Class 2 who achieved 100% attendance.
