Welcome Back

Happy New Year from all the Staff at St. Gabriel’s.

We hope you all had a fun and festive Christmas break – it has been lovely to welcome the children back this week. Every class has settled well and is back into the groove already!

We have had a busy week with two visitors to the school.

On Wednesday Foundation Phase had an amazing ocean themed workshop led by Lewis from the Ocean Conservation Trust. Children and teachers alike were thoroughly engaged throughout!

Thursday took a more serious note when KS2 were visited by Police Community Officer Doone to share with them the impact that vandalism in the local area has. Some thought provoking messages were shared.

Reception Admissions for September 2020

This deadline is rapidly approaching – applications for Reception places for September 2020 must be in by January 15^th. For a place at a Catholic Primary School, these are handed in directly to the school.

If you need an application form for yourself or a friend, they are available from the school office.

Attendance

Our attendance as a school overall has achieved our target this week as this is being supported by some fantastic attendance figures across a few classes. Special congratulations go to Dosbarth Coch (Reception) as they have achieved 100% this week.

Remember if your child is feeling a little under the weather, still bring them to school to see if being busy will take their mind of it. If children become really poorly in the day, staff will of course ring home to let parents know.
