Dear Parent/ Carer,

As you are aware we have had three positive cases in Year 3 and today that increased to five which includes the supply teacher we had already engaged for the class.

Our thanks go to Mrs Wright, a part time member of staff, who came in on her day off to lead the class to try and maintain continuity and consistency for the children as best we could as there is no supply cover available until next week.

I have worked with our Chair of Governors and the Local Authority and made the difficult decision to close Year 3 tomorrow for one day – Friday 28^th January. During this time, we will deep clean the classroom and also provide remote learning via SeeSaw. If you require a paper pack for this day do let us know. They will be available from the office at the end of the school day today.

Given the rising cases in the class, please do consider all options for child care for this one day. If you exhaust all possibilities and need child care support, please text the school to register your need for a place in the child care hub.
