Easter Holidays Food Collection
3rd April 2020
Dear Parent/Carer,
RE: Revised arrangements for collecting free school meals over the Easter holidays
Over the Easter holiday period we will be distributing food for children eligible for free school meals in a different way.
On Tuesday 7th April and Tuesday 14th April, between 11am and 1pm you will be able to pick up sufficient food for five days. The food will include:
- 5 items of fruit
- 5 snacks (cake or biscuit)
- 2 packs of sandwiches
- 2 savoury items (wrapped pastie/sausage roll – including a vegetarian option)
- 1 cooked pasta product (eg tuna, sweetcorn, tomato)
- 5 drinks
- 5 packs of crisps
If you have two children you will be given twice the amount of food shown above, three children – three times the amount shown etc. Thereby, food will be provided on each Tuesday for the whole week, for all of the children in your family who are eligible for free school meals.
We ask for your support and understanding with this, as it means that you will need to leave your homes less often (as per the Government directive to ‘stay at home’) and it also reduces the risk to the staff involved in providing the food at school.
Please do not attend the school if you or any member of your family is ill or self-isolating – someone else can collect the food on your behalf. When visiting the school please remember to follow social distancing rules.
Many thanks
J. Llewellyn
